Notes this month:-
September in the garden has been so divine! Seeing the bees buzz from flower to flower, flowers blooming that I started from seed and watching the boys enjoy peas, strawberries and juicy cucumbers is so delightful! I forgot I planted borage and calendula. They looked like weeds coming up and I'm so happy that I didn't pull them up. The bees are enjoying the dainty purple borage flowers. I noticed powdery mildew on my zucchini and squash leaves. Another somber observation is that the seeds I planted last month didn't germinate. I didn't water them as I should have and hot Pacific Northwest days must've scorched the seeds. Put there is always next month :) Yay for Fall gardening!
